Privacy policy
Your purchase dashboard runs in your browser. Order synchronization connects to Whatnot.
Effective: October 20, 2026 · Operator: James Cardona
What the extension does
SuperRod Orders for Whatnot helps you review your own Whatnot purchases, shipment status, spending, and exports. This policy covers the SuperRod Orders for Whatnot Chrome extension.
Data it accesses and stores
- Orders: order identifiers and dates, item titles, seller information, prices, currencies, shipping and tax amounts when available, order status, and tracking information returned by Whatnot.
- Shipping destination: the recipient's full name, address lines, city, state or region, postal code, and country code returned for each order. Unavailable addresses remain unavailable; the extension does not substitute your account's current address.
- Preferences: your synchronization settings, date preferences, order categories, and synchronization timestamps.
- Session information: the extension observes authentication and necessary session headers on requests to Whatnot's GraphQL service. It uses them to request your purchases from Whatnot while you are signed in. These headers are held in the extension's service-worker memory, rather than saved to extension storage.
Saved orders and preferences remain in the extension's local browser storage. The extension does not ask for your Whatnot password or payment-card details, and it does not collect browsing history from unrelated websites.
How the data is used and shared
The data is used to display your dashboard, calculate spending, filter and categorize orders, display each order's shipping destination, update shipment information, and create exports you request. CSV and JSON exports include shipping names and addresses when available; review these files before sharing them. Automatic sync is enabled by default and can run after Whatnot activity, subject to a minimum interval; you can turn it off in Settings.
Synchronization sends the necessary authenticated purchase requests to Whatnot. The extension does not upload your order history or authentication headers to SuperRod, James Cardona, analytics services, or an AI provider. Data is not sold or used for advertising.
Opening a tracking or marketplace link takes you to that third party. Their own privacy policies and normal browser behavior apply.
Why these permissions are needed
- Whatnot website access and webRequest: observe the session headers needed to sync your purchases and communicate with Whatnot.
- Storage: keep orders, categories, settings, and synchronization state in this browser.
- Side panel: show your purchase dashboard beside the active page.
Your controls and retention
You can disable automatic synchronization in Settings and export visible orders as CSV or JSON. Saved data stays in your browser until extension storage is cleared or the extension is uninstalled. Removing the extension stops its requests and removes its local extension storage; downloaded exports remain wherever you saved them.
Session headers are temporary and disappear when the service worker is restarted. Removing the extension does not delete orders from your Whatnot account. Because we do not receive your local order history, we cannot retrieve or delete that browser copy remotely.
Limited use
Use of extension data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only for the features described in this policy and shared only as needed to provide them, for security, or to meet legal obligations. It is not sold or used or transferred for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. Human access is restricted to specific user consent for support, security needs, or legal requirements.
